You MUST commit to eliminating excuses from your life. If you want to do something, do it without making excuses. If you don’t want to do something, simply don’t.
I’ve realized that giving excuses every time I don’t feel like participating or doing something is exhausting. It’s much easier to be truthful and straightforward. When you make up excuses, it feels insincere, and often the person you’re talking to can tell. So, why play games? Just say yes or no and move on. It’s surprisingly easier than you might think.
Interestingly, you will notice that others will pick up the same excuses you discarded. It’s true what they say, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” If you happened to sift through my discarded excuses and took them for yourself, I wish you luck. Believe me, those excuses won’t hold up for long.
